About Us

The Talbot Trusts is a grant-making registered charity which distributes funds to support health-related charitable work for Sheffield residents and those on the surrounding boundary.

We fund registered charities and other types of not-for-profit organisations, such as Community Interest Companies (CICs) or constituted community groups if they can explain how they would use our funding for charitable purposes. We welcome applications from registered organisations who provide services and facilities that will directly benefit persons who are sick, convalescent, disabled or infirm and which are not readily available to them from other sources.

The Trustees of The Talbot Trusts are committed to making our work as accessible and inclusive as possible. We now have dedicated sections of meetings to discuss EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) and EDI features in our discussion of applications for funding. One of our Trustees is now a dedicated EDI lead.

The EDI section of our website details in full our response to the Booska Paper which set out goals for funding organisations in addressing racism.
